The digestive system is also known as the alimentary canal or the gastrointestinal tract, abbreviated as the GI tract.

 

The Digestive System Quiz is for everyone. Additionally, it covers content from Chapter 11“Exploring Medical Language, and Lesson 8, “Basic Medical Language, and can be used to prepare for your lesson or chapter exams.

The digestive system, is the long continuous tube comprising the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, and anus.

Salivary glands, liver, bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreas are the accessory organs of the digestive system.

 

NOTE: The quiz is part of the Medical Terminology Study Guide; therefore, you will see more than the quiz. On the left side of the page, you will be able to see all the lessons for Basic Medical Language. Feel free to explore the lessons and take any of the other quizzes.
