Presbycusis

hearing loss Presbycusis  (prez-bi-KŪ-sis) is a progressive hearing loss that occurs with age.  It most often occurs in both ears, but not necessarily at the same time.

Presbycusis is made up of two word parts:

presby/o meaning old age is derived from the Greek term “prebus” meaning old

-cusis  meaning hearing is derived from the Greek word “akousis” meaning hearing

Presbyopia, used in the clue in the cartoon, means loss of vision with aging.  As you might guess opia means vision.
